If you’re looking to celebrate love in style, our resident Stylist, Emelia Morris has provided her go-to tips for this special occasion.
In keeping with the tradition of Saint V’s day, why not incorporate something from the red palette into your outfit. No need to worry, there’s a shade of red for everyone, such as fire-engine red, ruby red or crimson. After all the colour red is associated with fire, love, and passion so adding a bit to your day will be sure to turn the heat up.
If wearing this colour in one block is not your thing, you could always add pops of red hues into other areas of your outfit with your accessories such as your bag, watch, sunglasses, headband, scarf, etc. or ladies why not go bold and add a red lip.
If red is just not an option for you that’s ok, you can always tone it down and try something softer from the pastel palette- think salmon, dusty pinks, mint green, lilac or white.
For the ladies wanting to go for a dress option, think sexy with a hint of sass. Go for an off the shoulders style with ruffle detailing and for those more adventurous girls you could even try a V neckline which is super flattering on many body shapes.
If dresses are not your cup of tea, try a wide-leg jumpsuit or a well-tailored culotte pant, paired back with a silk camisole and to finish this look off, add a strappy heel.
Don’t forget your accessories, these really tie an outfit together. If you’re opting for a simple style, go bold with your accessories; opt for a multi-colored clutch, statement earring and a barrette for your hair (hair clip) to complete your outfit.
