With Christmas just around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about planning your Christmas day outfit (I’ve already sorted mine, I am definitely a Christmas fan).
I absolutely love that it has become an Australian tradition to get dressed up for Christmas day, even if it’s only just you and your family in your backyard having a casual lunch.
So that you avoid Christmas Day outfit regret, here are some top tips to ensure you can focus on the celebration whilst feeling your best.
- Go for something stylish that makes you feel and look good and that gets you into the festive spirit.
- Make sure whatever you choose ticks all the comfort boxes, because let’s face it, there will be lots of food eaten, and for some of you, there will be lots of running around on the day.
- Keep in mind our old friend ‘Mother Nature’. Will it be 15 degrees or will it be 45 degrees, who knows in Victoria. For me, I usually go for something in-between so that I am covered, there are some great blazers around at the moment that suit most outfits.
- If you’re hosting Christmas Day, no matter how organised you are, there will be running around on your feet all day. Be sure to wear some comfy shoes, as you don’t want your day ruined by having sore feet.
For those wanting to really embrace the festive dress up on the day, we have some other ideas for you!
Incorporate some Christmas colours such as red, white or green or even a hint of sparkle. I’m not suggesting you go for the Santa Claus look, but more of a classy festive look.
Last year I wore a beautiful white linen dress from Witchery and paired it back with some silver slides. I also had a well cut denim jacket on hand just in case it got cooler.
For those who are daring, why not try some high pigment colours such as your fuchsia pinks, cobalt blues, and lemon yellows, they’ll be sure to brighten your day.
Have the best day celebrating with family and friends in stylish comfort!
